Shipping in 4 weeks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bubble suspensions, with various spherical shapes, bring a touch of softness and diffuse luminosity. Designed in 1952 by George Nelson, these elegant lamps rest on a sturdy and light steel frame while forming an airy and delicate ensemble. Nelson was inspired by a set of Swedish silk-covered hanging lamps he wanted to acquire for his office. Unfortunately, the price seemed unaffordable to him. Nelson being a clever and resourceful designer, he created the first set of Bubble lamps by spraying a white, translucent resin, a technique developed at the time by the U.S. military. Nelson drew his inspiration from a variety of simple and natural forms to design these suspensions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Dimensions : Dimensions: Small : Ø 26.5 cm x h 36.5 cm
